I realized the other day that few people know about some of my favorite traditions. I have been collecting advent calendars. I'm not sure when the collection started. It's fun to see the calendars go up at the first of December. Keeps me on my toes when it comes to starting the Christmas decorating!
Of course the kids have to have their yearly chocolate-filled calendars. The teddy bear was given to me by my mother-in-law. I saw the "days till Christmas" plaque at Dad and Janet's house. I complemented them on it and they gave it to me on the spot. It's one of my favorites.
The Christmas tree and the house are both new this year. I adore them both. Couldn't resist!Of course Mom's wonderful eggs are part of the advent tradition.

I LOVE this post! What a good idea to record some of your family traditions! I lvoe advent calendars too, and my kids love keeping them up to date.
ReplyDeleteWe did not get the chocolate calendars this year. Last year there was stealing and going ahead, and it wasn't Jon the ultimate chocolate thief, just his children with his genes. Maybe by next year, they will be on Santa's nice list. hehehe. Now I will have to post our traditions!
